Microdermabrasion Kits and Cloth
The manufacturers of microdermabrasion cloth claim that this is great for removing
dead skin cells. The cloth can be used anywhere on your body - age or liver spots,
acne scars, tattoos - and it works by peeling away old skin and exposing new skin.
In order to use it properly you'll need to wash your face thoroughly with a mild soap or antibacterial cleanser and then dry it well. Next you will scrub face and neck with microdermabrasion cloth that has been dampened with warm water. You shouldn't rub your skin too vigorously and as with regular dermabrasion you need to avoid sun exposure
The microdermabrasion treatments can be given every 7 to 10 days and you're supposed to see some results after 3 or 4 treatments. As with regular dermabrasion your face will go slightly pink for 24 hours after the first treatment. You shouldn't use your microdermabrasion cloth in conjunction with an ongoing chemical peel process or an aluminum oxide crystal regime. After treatment with the cloth you'll need dry your face with soft towel and make sure that you do not apply any alcohol-based astringents.
Microdermabrasion Kit
Microdermabrasion kit is based on using another noninvasive technique to remove dead skin cells by propelling natural mineral crystals onto the surface of the skin for gentle epidermal abrasion that is supposed to reveal the newer and better looking skin. Microdermabrasion kits works in two ways:
1. Through the process of correction: The speed of the crystal flow causes an abrasive action that removes the surface layers of the skin thus allowing fresher layer skin to emerge.
2. Stimulation: The vacuum used in the home mircodermabrasion procedure works by helping to stimulate microcirculation thus increasing the blood supply. This is said to provide nutrients needed for skin regeneration. It is also supposed to stimulate formation of new collagen and elastin to improve skin texture and elasticity.
Indeed home microdermabrasion kits and microdermabrasion cloths are less expensive and more comfortable than actual plastic surgery. Both methods aren't as effective as the dermabrasion procedure but they may serve as an alternative if surgery is not an option for you. |
