Male Liposuction
Men shouldn't be embarrassed to ask about your liposuction options. After all, there were some 56,000 male liposuction operations in 2002, representing 15% of all liposuction operations for that year in the Untied States.
The reasons for male liposuction are the same as for females. Some areas of the body can't be worked off no matter how much exercise or dieting you do. For men, these areas are usually the love handles, stomach, chest, and neck.
Liposuction for men is more expensive than female liposuction for a few reasons. The first reason is simply that men are built a bit tougher than women and their fats tend to be fibrous and resistant to breakup. If you compare male and female fat cells you can see that males fat cells are simply stronger. The areas that men request most are also the most fibrous for both sexes. The chest, love handles, and abdomen have the toughest fats in the body. Lastly, men are just bigger in proportion so there are larger volumes of fat to remove for the same change in contour.
Love handles are a popular target zone for men. These are the fat deposits around the waste that are infamously hard to get rid of even with rigorous exercise. This problem can be removed without great difficulty and are permanent if no additional weight gain occurs afterwards.
The beer gut or potbelly is another popular region for male liposuction. This fat is also difficult to work off and can also be a genetic trait that is completely unavoidable. Even though liposuction won't help to shed lots of weight, it's still ideal for helping people achieve a more ideal body shape.
Another popular region is the chest. The medical term for enlarged male breasts is gynecomastia. It's a common condition that affects more men than you'd think. Frustratingly enough, there is usually no apparent cause for this condition and for males it can be a very self-conscious problem. More often than not, this condition is the result of excess fat being stored in the breast region, rather than actual breast tissue. This excess fat condition is called pseudo-gynecomastia and is the more common cause of male breast enlargement. Luckily, since it's just fat it can be treated quickly with a liposuction procedure.
Men are typically discouraged to pursue cosmetic surgery techniques. But this sort of stereotyping won't help people with genetic conditions or people who've worked hard to get rid of their body fat but can't get rid of a few problem areas. For them, a liposuction procedure can be quick, cheap, and nearly painless. If you've got some love handles or a beer belly that just won't go away, think about male liposuction today. |
